#marchtofitness 30-day Health Challenge

Updated: Mar 16, 2020

It’s no secret that I’m a huge advocate for integrated nutrition, fitness, self-development and veterans.

I love the idea of always trying to improve my life and work towards becoming the best version of me that I can possibly be. I believe that my purpose in this life is to serve, and one of my greatest passions is to help others do the same.

I’ve been a big fan of 30-Day challenges since I began doing yoga about 10 years ago, and the positive impact that they made in my life. It’s said that 30 days is enough time to solidify a new habit that you want to incorporate into your daily routine, or even to subtract a habit that isn't good for your health or well-being. If it hadn't been for Kino McGregor's monthly Yoga challenges and a couple of Instagram fitness challenges, I don't think I would have dug so deep into the practice.

This TED talk discusses the benefits of 30-day challenges. Definitely worth the 3 minutes.

Benefits of 30-day challenges include:

  1. Building self confidence

  2. Feeling empowered

  3. Achieving your goals

  4. developing healthier habits

  5. Being more adventurous

  6. Finding your passions

….the list goes on!

One of the biggest advantages of 30-day challenges is, that making small changes over a longer period of time is much more sustainable over the long-term.

In the spirit of wanting to provide a little inspiration to you to try a 30-day challenge, I thought I would create and lead a challenge that you might like to try for yourself to develop healthier habits.

Beginning March 1, 2020, we begin #marchtofitness. All you have to do is post a photo relating to the topic of the day on the calendar to your social media. Tag me, hashtag #marchtofitness, and inspire your friends! The important thing is that you carve time out of your schedule every single day over the course of 30 days to devote time for yourself. Have fun!
