About
If you have been told you have PCOS and given almost no explanation, or told you could not possibly have it because your ovaries looked fine on an ultrasound, this course is for you. Both of those experiences are common, and both can be mistaken. PMOS Demystified clears up one of the most misunderstood diagnoses in women's health. PMOS, polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome, is the updated name for what was long called PCOS. The new name is important, because this is not simply a problem of the ovaries or a collection of cysts. It is a whole-body condition involving your hormones, your metabolism, and inflammation, working together. In this course you will learn what PMOS is and how it is diagnosed by a pattern rather than a single test. You will come to understand the drivers behind it, including the insulin loop that sits at the center for most women, and how the condition presents differently across the teen years, the fertility years, and into menopause. We separate the genuine science from the fear and the myths, so you leave with an accurate, usable picture. Most importantly, you will understand the levers within your control and a clear, root-cause approach to working with your body. This material is educational and does not replace professional care. Whether you are an established client or exploring this work for the first time, you are welcome here. Rose Davis, MLS, FDN-P Rooted in Science, Focused on You.
